It recognizes that clinical expertise must be paired with business acumen for a thriving career in cosmetic services . This track covers developing a business plan, marketing and branding strategies, financial management, and customer service excellence tailored to the aesthetics industry. Participants learn how to attract and retain clients, comply with legal/business regulations, and create a sustainable business model for clinics offering Dr. Face treatments and beyond. By the end, practitioners will be equipped not just as providers, but as savvy business owners or managers.

Create a business plan

for an aesthetic practice – defining target market (e.g. high-end urban clients, dermatology referrals), services menu, pricing strategy, and revenue projections.

Implement effective marketing and branding

develop a unique brand identity, utilize digital marketing (social media, website SEO) and traditional marketing (networking, referrals) to promote cosmetic services ethically and effectively.

Manage financial aspects of a practice

budgeting for equipment and supplies, setting pricing that covers costs and achieves profit, understanding insurance/billing if applicable, and tracking key financial metrics.

Enhance client experience and retention

training in customer service skills, consultation techniques that build trust, managing patient expectations, and implementing loyalty programs or packages to encourage repeat visits

Navigate legal and regulatory considerations

for businesses: choosing the proper business structure, obtaining necessary clinic licenses or certifications, ensuring all advertising is compliant with medical advertising laws, and maintaining malpractice or liability insurance coverage

Customer Service & Retention

Training on creating a premium client experience – from a welcoming clinic ambiance to personalizing services. Strategies for maintaining client loyalty: follow-up calls after treatments, sending educational newsletters, offering membership or loyalty discounts. Handling dissatisfied clients or complaints professionally (turning a negative experience into a positive outcome) is practiced, aligning with quality service principles

Practice Growth & Networking

Guidance on scaling the business – when to hire additional practitioners or invest in new technology. Importance of networking with other professionals (joining aesthetic industry associations, attending conferences) to stay current . How to solicit and use client feedback to improve services. This module might include developing a 1-year and 5-year growth plan as a capstone activity.

Branding & Marketing for Aesthetics

Covers creating a strong brand (logo, clinic theme), building an online presence (professional website showcasing Dr. Face services, before/after galleries), leveraging social media marketing (Instagram, Facebook, etc. for educational content and ads), and using client testimonials or referrals. Guidance on ethical marketing is provided (no misleading before-afters, truthful claims) . SEO basics and online review management are also discussed

Financial Management 101

Introduces financial planning and bookkeeping basics for a clinic. Topics include setting prices with profit margins in mind, calculating break-even points for expensive devices (e.g. laser machine ROI), managing inventory of skincare products, and controlling expenses. Software tools for scheduling, billing, and inventory may be recommended. Also discusses when to consider expansion or adding new services based on financial data

Client Acquisition and Consultation Skills

Focuses on the sales funnel from inquiry to consultation to conversion. Tips on effective phone/email inquiry responses, scheduling, and conducting consultations that educate clients on options without pressuring. Role-play scenarios of consultation for a facial treatment plan help refine communication. Also covers handling hesitant clients and following up after consultations

Legal, Insurance, and Compliance (Business Perspective)

Covers business structures (sole proprietorship vs. LLC vs. corporation for clinics), understanding local regulations like medical director requirements for non-physician owners, data protection laws for client records, and advertising regulations. Importance of liability insurance and patient consent from a legal standpoint is highlighted . Participants also review case examples of legal issues (e.g. improper advertising claims, or practicing outside scope) to learn cautionary lessons
